Essential website and security technologies
The website is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security or traffic-management cookies and technical signals when required to deliver, protect or challenge requests to the site. These technologies support security, availability and fraud/bot protection and are not controlled by the Not Out Labs analytics preference.
Cloudflare Turnstile form protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on enquiry and enterprise-resource forms as an essential security control to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. Turnstile may process security signals such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, TLS/network characteristics, sitekey and origin for bot detection. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not access, store or transmit the contents of your form entries. Turnstile operates independently of the optional Not Out Labs analytics preference because it protects form submission and website security. Learn more in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Our analytics preference storage
The website stores your analytics choice in browser local storage under nol_analytics_consent_v1. The value records whether analytics storage has been granted or denied so the website can remember your choice on later pages or visits. This preference is used to operate the consent control itself.
Google Analytics 4 and Consent Mode
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website traffic, page use, referral or campaign information and selected conversion events. The site uses Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics_storage denied by default. If you choose Accept analytics, analytics storage is granted and Google Analytics may set or read analytics cookies and process measurement data according to Google’s service configuration.
Advertising storage, advertising user-data and advertising-personalisation signals remain denied in the current website configuration. When analytics storage remains denied, Google tags may still send limited cookieless consent and measurement signals rather than setting or reading Analytics cookies. These signals can include ordinary browser/request information used for aggregate or modelled measurement. We do not intentionally send enquiry email addresses, phone numbers, form-message content or other direct identifiers to Google Analytics.
Live chat
Live chat is provided by Tawk.to. Its widget may use cookies, local storage and session storage to support chat state, visitor sessions, security and service functionality. Tawk.to provides a built-in consent form that can be configured by region. Tawk.to states that when this consent form is enabled, chat-related cookies and local-storage data are not set until the visitor accepts the form. If the consent form is not enabled for a visitor, Tawk.to may store chat-related information when the widget loads. You are not required to use live chat and can contact us by email or phone instead.
Contact forms
Our contact forms do not need FormSubmit simply to display. When you choose to submit a form, the browser sends the form information to FormSubmit so the message can be relayed to our business inbox. This is an action you initiate rather than optional website analytics. Please see the Privacy Policy for the information processed through enquiries.
Locally stored website assets
Core Not Out Labs images, including the payment-option marks shown in the footer, are served from our own website package rather than being fetched from their original third-party image hosts. Clicking a third-party link, where provided, may still take you to that provider’s own website and privacy practices.
Your analytics choices
You can accept analytics or continue without optional analytics using the website consent banner. Continuing without analytics does not block the core website. You can revisit the Not Out Labs analytics choice at any time using the button below or clear this site’s stored preferences in your browser.
Browser and provider controls
Browsers can also block, delete or restrict cookies and site storage. Blocking essential or functional storage may affect parts of a website or third-party widget. Controls offered directly by Google, Tawk.to or your browser operate separately from the Not Out Labs analytics preference.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our use of analytics, live chat, hosting/security technology, advertising measurement, embedded content or other website technologies materially changes. The “Last updated” date identifies the current public version.
